A few weeks ago I made this super fun collaboration with awesome Romanian designer Mihai Grama, for his TransHurbana collection, for Mobila Dalin.
The whole collection is based on Romanian traditional elements, characters, and themes. So I mixed stuff like vine leaves, acorns, corn cobs, sheep, traditional patterns, and characters typical for Romanian folk stories - all of them treated in a more contemporary, urban aesthetic. Here's a look at the steps, starting from rough sketch, to the actual illustration, the seamless pattern, and the objects printed with the pattern.
